LOCATION & GENERAL INFORMATION
The Bross farm is located 10 miles north of Carthage, IL on Highway 94 to Road 2500N (Colusa Road) then 1/2 mile east, or 2 miles east of Colusa, IL.
Tract 1 contains 20 acres which is the West Half of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 30 of Durham Township. It is all level, tillable farm ground with Muscatune and Sable Class A soils and a Productivity Index of 143.8. Road 2500N borders the south end.
Tract 2 contains 85.52 surveyed acres and is the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 32 of Durham Township. FSA figures indicate 70 acres of tillable farm ground. The tillable acres which have a Productivity Index of 127.6 include over 40 acres of Muscatune and Sable, Class A soils. The non tillable acres are mostly well maintained grass waterways, a pond and buildings area. There are 2 large older barns. The house has been removed. Road 2500N borders the north end.
